Your service is awfull. my modem is fine. Well configured. Late at night, sometimes I get good speed 48 Kbps and everything is fine for hours I stay connected. But most of the time I spend minutes and sometimes hours trying to connect and stay connected. The numbers don\'t work and when they do, I get slow speed...I\'m talking 9 Kbps slow. ( I\'ve seen it all from 4 Kbps to 24 to 33, 42, 57 ). And then you get disconnected for no reason apparent ( whatever your pop up windows say...irrelevant jibberish). I\'ve tried different modems it doesn\'t matter, your bad service is the cause no doubt about that. Some of the messages I get are: - you have been accidentally disconnected from the internet. Auto Reconnect. - The NetZero software was unable to connect to the NetZero network. - The NetZero software was unable to establish the proper protocol while connecting to the NetZero network. Also, your software is so annoying, your always stuck with the : NetZero - MyNetZero Personalized Start Page - sign in - Microsoft Internet Explorer opening page that loads automatically !!!!! And What about Google Chrome...is your software stuck with Internet Explorer on your opening page ???!!!! When I close that page (as it\'s loading), I now recently get this message that pops up : iexplore.exe - Application Error The instruction at \"0x7780f510\"referenced memory at \"0x00ad3840\".The memory could not be \"read\". Click on OK to terminate the program Another pop up I now have to close, useless !!!!!!!!!! Get rid of that stupid, useless message ( or the whole useless page for that matter !!!!!). And also, NZTV , what the fu*k is that !!!!!!! ...common, screw your shitty interface windows, just connect me and Fu*k off !!!!!! Every time I want to connect I have to go through this window that reads : - NetZero Dialing Settings Update - We have been informed by your phone company of changes in the way in wich one or more of your NetZero access numbers are dialed from your location. Please review the revised phone list on the next screen to ensure that these are local calls. If you have any questions please contact your local phone company. I then have to select Acces Numbers on the Select Access Numbers window and specify wich number and if they are long distance or not. EVERY TIME !!!!!!!!!! Just ask me once and remember it. That is very annoying....and pointless !!!! EVERY TIME !!!! Also, I live in Gatineau ( Hull ) area code 819 ....why am I stuck with only 2 Access numbers in the 613 Ottawa area ??!!! I\'m in Quebec , those numbers are in Ontario. Invest in your infrastructure and get us some servers on the Quebec side ( no wonder I can\'t connect, 2 numbers for 2 Provinces !!!!!!). I often get this window that tells me : We will attempt to repair your NetZero software. Enter member ID and password. Even though I\'m connecting or already connected by the time it pops up ( useless ). And this other window that says : C :\\Program Files\\NetZero\\exec.exe Another program is currently using this file. Yet I still connect or am connected and this box is popped up. ANNOTHER WINDOW I HAVE TO CLOSE . Your wasting my time and testing my patience !!!!!!!!!!! Your solutions are useless and basic. They don\'t help. The problems are constant and well documented on the web in many blogs and reviews .Own up to your problems and fix them, at least for your paying customers , such as me.....although I\'m pretty sure I\'m cancelling my account and wont be coming back ever after this bad experience. I\'ve tried different modems, checked my phone lines. It\'s suspect because I get great connection at night and on some days, and then some days I can\'t even connect or stay connected. BE CONSISTENT, DO ROUTINE MAINTENANCE OF YOUR SERVERS, AND INVEST IN INFRASTRUCTURE !!!!!!!!!!!!

These dumbasses at Netzero kept me on as a customer after I told them CLEARLY that I don\'t want to be kept in their system and I don\'t want any of their services. Then those asshole had the audacity to charge my account! When I called them, they kept putting me on hold. I found that I was speaking to yet ANOTHER OUTSOURCED CALL CENTER! Avoid Netzero at all costs! Their service sucks and so does their piss-poor customer support!

I cancelled Netzero service last January because the dial-up service is slower than frozen molasses. They tried to keep me on as a customer. I said \"NO. TAKE ME OUT OF YOUR SYSTEM COMPLETELY\" 8 months later, they started charging my card again for the full price! FUCKING ASSHOLES! I will report them to the FCC, FTC, STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL, AND ANYONE ELSE THAT I CAN THINK OF! My bank has already taken Netzero\'s fraudulent charges off of my account. AVOID NETZERO! THOSE CRIMINALS SUCK!

Net Zero has the worst Customer support. Everytime I call them to cancel, they tell me that their system is down and cannot access my account. This has happened five times in a row. They\'re an ISP and their system is always down? That explains the quality of their software. They suck and I recommend that you stay away from them.

Netzero is the worst ISP you can have. They lie to you about the hi-speed, they disconnect and won\'t let you reconnect, their software keeps getting corrupt. Overall netzero sucks! Now I will say this it is for some people. If you only go online to check email, look up directions and quick searches its for you. Netzero is not for people like me and most of the people who are reviewing. If you like downloading, uploading, youtube, games, IMing, shopping online then it is best not to get netzero they will p*** you off especially with customer support and if you want to disconnect. They will try to keep you with them by giving stupid offers like they tried to give my family a $4.95 deal. We have broadband now yes its mor expensive but we can deal with it since it fits our needs better. So remember little internet use netzero is good for you. Frequent internet use go somewhere else.

Signed on for an allegedly free one-month trial. Credit card was charged immediately. Within days, it was clear the service was poor (slow access when I was able to access their servers at all; slow downloads), so I called to cancel service. (You MUST call!) Their rep tried to retain me as a customer by offering me several more months of allegedly free service! I declined. When he couldn\'t sell me anything, he said he\'d cancel my account. I told him my credit card had ALREADY been charged for that allegedly free month, and he said a credit would be issued on the next statement. No credit was ever issued. I notified Net Zero in writing for several months that no credit was given for that charge, but it never responded and no refund was ever given. BEWARE NetZero\'s allegedly FREE trials.

I have had NetZero.net since 2000 it was unlimited free usage to 10 hours a month free. I then upgraded to their $9.95 plan about 9mos ago. Horrible and slow, and consistantly knocked off after an hr or 2. The service has degraded to the point that I switched to verizon Highspeed DSL for $5 more a month. I cancelled my account on 12/15/07 and was told that it was cancelled and that I\'d be credited the 9.95 for that month. I received my credit card statement and see that a 9.95 charg was posted to it on 12/16/07. I was charged instead of credited?!?!?! Additionally, they claim that when I cancelled my service, I agreed to upgrade to their high end service. Supposedly it is now cancelled and they said they will credit me. My advice is get rid on them!!!

Probably the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Period. Bar none. Complaints to tech support regarding connection issues that arose after each client side update of Netzero\'s software always went unanswered. Complaints about daily emails (sometimes 2-3 times a day) from Netzero, with every email regarding the exact same subject, fell on deaf ears. I was told by customer service, \"Tough. Nothing Netzero can do. Ignore the emails.\" This is not how you treat customer complaints. These two examples just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to my Netzero customer service experience. Avoid Netzero at all costs.

I hate netzero. They do not support Firefox as a browser in order to use firefox you have to close IE because it always starts even if you choose another browser as default. The worst thing is the constant downloads from netzero. Dial up is always slow, I don\'t need netzero constantly downloading who knows what to my computer slowing things down even more, but they do it all the time. Don\'t use netzero. You will hate it.

As of the end of 09/07, there has been nothing but problems with netzero\'s local lines being busy &/or modems not responding. By 11/10/07, the 4th day, I finally was able to connect! This is how it has been since 09/07 & I have netzero platinum dialup. It\'s not my computer!!! There service constantly gives their generic responses to the problem but we have attempted to check ALL AVAILABLE LOCAL NUMBERS without connection! Anybody else have this problem??????

I have used Netzero Platnium for about 2years and yes it does have it\'s shortcomings. But with NetZero I can also use Windows,Mac and Linux at my house for under $10.00 a month. If I could find another ISP for under $10.00 a month that didn\'t disconnect every four hours and let me run all my Different OS\'S I might switch.I really haven\'t had any problems out of NetZero.I think it is a fairly good value.Plus whenever I go \"out-of-state\" I take my laptop and never have to worry about a local access number.I just dial-out new location with that area-code and I am good to go with a 45\'333 bps which aint to shabby for 56k dial-up.

netzero is terrible!!! they lock you in for a year and tech support costs like $1.50 a minute or something, they dont tell you that up front. their tv add says they gave the fastest dialup connection starting at $9.95 a month but thats so misleading, it seems they purposely slow the service down somehow to get you to upgrade. i was so happy to end my year with them! i found a local isp in the LA area, jetlink, 5 bucks a month and boy its like lightning compared to netzero!

Proprietary software is required to connect. The software is retarded and even automatically launches some god-awful NetZero webpage that takes five minutes to load on this horrible connection. I just blocked the server in my HOST file and that was that. Unfortunately you still have to deal with the \"LOL YOU LOOK LIKE YOU\'RE NOT DOING ANYTHING SO I\'M GOING TO CRASH THE GAME YOU WERE PLAYING AND DISCONNECT YOU IF YOU DON\'T CLICK THIS BUTTON\" message every hour, even if you\'re on IRC and sending/receiving pings every few seconds. Once you are connected you\'ll find the speed is average for dial-up, but the main problem is the enormous number of datastream errors you\'ll receive. On my prior ISP I might have received maybe a half dozen in six hours at the worst. I was connected for under an hour and a half with NetZero and I had over 1100 receive errors. Yes, ELEVEN HUNDRED. I wasn\'t even aware it was possible to get that many dropped packets in this day and age. Frequent disconnects are also a problem. Or not...depending on how you look at it. Find something else. For the love of God, find something else.

What a Joke!! They even tried to sign me up for email that has a MONTHLY REOCURRING FEE!! I am VERY angry with them. I will NEVER use them again in the future!! They are VERY Deceiving and Sneaky! I have nothing but probs with netzero! HATE IT and their customer service pp are rude. Downloads are slow, but aren't they all? After an hour or so of use, I always got a message that the connection was lost for unknown reasons. Online tech help was useless, the pay help's only suggestion was to upgrade to a higher priced plan. I got tired of getting disconnected with no clue as to why. Am searching for a better ISP now, that will at least attempt to solve the problem.

I am in the process of leaving this provider. Dialup performance was good for dialup in the beginning. But performance has degraded so badly in the past several months, that I can't take it any longer. I am paying for their server to ignore me for long periods of time. Very slow and frustrating. I am moving to some other service.

Hi, I just wanted to give you all my impression of Netzero Highspeed 3G. I recently reflected on my world of cable/broadband. I found myself deciding that it was out of control and needed some change. My bill for both was $120.00 a month for services that I seldom used. Broadband was $40 a month. I looked at the alternatives and decided on Netzero. I have worked in technical support so I have computer knowledge perhaps above most. So far I have found Netzero to be a viable alternative to broadband. Testing Netzero on an independent bandwidth meter is an interesting experiment. Type "CNET Bandwidth test" into any search engine and you can find out your speed. Ok, I just did it and here are my results. A standard dial up is 56K of course. My results are 312.2 kbps. The first DSL after that is rated at 384 kbps. So how does it acclerate? I turned the image quality way down (if I want to view the picture I right click on it and choose "full quality".) I also purchased a V.92 modem as part of the equation. The software as part of the modem regarding the "modem on hold" portion was somewhat lacking, but I suppose if I had paid more than $5.93 for it, that part might be better *lol*. Also, I found that I had to "tweak" the settings, but all those "tweaks" are on the technical page of Netzero. A major factor in this or quite frankly anything you put in your computer is the following. How clean is your computer? I run multiple programs to keep it clean. ZoneAlarm for a firewall and a great free program from Avast! that has seven different resident protection programs, again, do a search to learn more about how it protects/cleans your computer. I also have pop-up blockers etc. I again had to "tweak" it a bit to work seamlessly with Netzero but nothing absurd. Another factor you must take into consideration is this: what is your computer? My results may not be the same as yours simply due to the processing speed/memory you have. For the record, my computer is home built with a MSI 6800LE motherboard, a AMD Athlon 1600 CPU and 512MB of RAM. That certainly is not "state of the art" by any means. If you are still reading this, kudos to you! *lol* I find Netzero to be a viable alternative to broadband, and my download speed is about 6-10 kbps. Again, dependent on whose servers I'm downloading from. So, I went to basic cable ($9.00 a month) joined Intelliflix DVD rental for $8.25 a month and Netzero for $9.95 a month. Total savings-over $1100 a year. It is up to you to decide if it is worth it, IMHO it is.
